1. Introduction


Whitney is an expert property speaker and real estate coach.

She is 33 years old and has 2 1/2 million in real estate.

Whitney is the 4th generation of entrepreneurs in her family and they own their own family trucking business.

She went from 2 houses to 14 houses in less than 1 year from creative real estate.


2. When Did The Switch Flip “On” For You As An Entrepreneur?


In college, Whitney worked for a local county school system, and made good money.

She had a family business at this time, and so did her buddy. In one conversation she had with her mom she questioned why her buddy wouldn’t take the job with his family and in that second she realized she needed to work for her family.

She felt she needed to work for something that she could put her hands on and feel in control.



3. How Did You Make The Transition To Real Estate From The Family Business? And When?


Growing up Whitney witnessed her grandpa treat her mom poorly and thought he didn’t want her to work for the family business (she felt because she was a woman).

In 2008, she started working for her grandpa and on the first day while introducing her, he couldn’t even remember her name.

It rubbed Whitney the wrong way, but unexpectedly she ended up becoming pretty close with her grandpa.

After 3 years of being close, her grandpa passed away and work wasn’t as fun without him.

Within the next summer of him passing, her family (mom and uncle) had the opportunity to make the company bigger and stronger, but ultimately chose not to, even though Whitney knew her grandpa would want to.

At that moment she realized, her heart was broken when her grandpa passed, and when the company didn’t advance, her head had broken up with the idea as well.

Whitney decided she needed to find something else.

From the summer of 2012 to December of 2012, she bought her first piece of land.

In the summer of 2013, she bought more and more land, and two houses.

By 2014, she was completely out of the family business.



4. How Do You Maintain Balance Between Work And Home? Is There Such A Thing?


Her husband moved to Tampa, Florida for his job.

She is able to be with him Monday through Thursday because her job gives her the ability to basically do whatever she wants.

Whitney can enjoy being with him; the company pays for the hotels and she pays for the flights.

She can be the best wife because she has the luxury to work when she has the moment, otherwise she’s at home with her husband!


5. What Is Your Definition Of Success?


Success to Whitney is always a moving target, you have to keep moving and grow through whatever you are trying to achieve.

She gets bored easily so she has to focus on different things to keep going.

Her idea of success changes every month because she is hit with new milestones.

Currently Whitney’s idea of success would be: paying off 3 of her rental houses by the end of the year and buying a home she fell in love with in Tampa, Florida.
