In this episode, Dr. Matt Motil interviews “the millionaire maker” Akbar Sheikh.

Akbar went through a 10-year journey from being homeless to where he is today.

Let’s get started…

Special Guest Akbar Sheikh

1. Introduction

You would never think, but Akbar used to be homeless!

He was totally “off;” overweight, hated his job, and was in a toxic relationship.

He was searching for his “why” everyday for 10 years.

Akbar only had one possession – a car. He sold the car for $2,000 and was introduced to the world of the internet.

Akbar started his 1st online business which was funnel based.

He didn’t make any money in the first 30 days.

He realized it was a mindset/strategy issue, and after making a few tweaks he was able to make his first sale of $500 and continued to do sale after sale.

Akbar helps entrepreneurs make revenue because he believes they are inherently good and believes they will donate/make the world a better place.

Just in the last year he has helped four people make 6-figures and 5 people make 7-figures.

2. When Did The Switch Flip “On” For You As An Entrepreneur?

Akbar was hardcore “off” for 10 years.

Its just a matter of major life changes to switch your mind.

3. What Was Your First “Hustle?”

Akbar never had a traditional job.

He used to sell cars.

He took both him and his cousins money and went to an auction where he bought and sold cars.

4. How Do You Maintain Balance Between Work And Home? Is There Such A Thing?

Akbar’s goal was a billionaire-dollar plan.

He was working 6 days a week, 12-14 hours a day.

His wife said if you want to do that, that’s fine, but the kids and I won’t be here for that.

He had to chill out with working.

It is hard to balance both, but Akbar believes it doesn’t need to be taken that far.

Akbar has to put his cell phone away once in awhile.

He had a realization that family is beautiful, and they come first.

Your family has to be on board, it’s a partnership.

Akbar isn’t great at balancing both, but he is working on it.

5. What Is Your Definition Of Success?

Akbar doesn’t measure success by materialistic things, he measures it as what one does with the wealth they’ve acquired.

The impact you’ve made in the world is success.

6. What Is The One Book That Changed It All For You?

Akbar has a slight issue with people who read a lot.

He reads a lot less than the mass majority, only going through a few books in his lifetime.

When Akbar reads, he will read 1-2 pages of a book then implement what he has learned.

It’s more of the reading style over the actual book that has changed Akbar’s life.

If he had to pick a book, he would pick anything by author Joseph Sugarman!

7. What Is One Thing You Would Tell 10-Years Younger You?

Akbar has no regrets in life, he truly believes everything happens for a reason.

If anything he wishes he would have dumped his circle of friends and chosen a higher group of influence.

8. How Can We Reach You?

Akbar encourages you to read his book: 7 Figure Funnels: A slap you in the face with a cold wet fish blueprint on how to build a million dollar online business in 7 ethical steps.
